In that moment I felt God’s love for me wash over me like a gush of fresh air. Why was I worried? Why did I panic? God promised to take care of me and in that moment, He did.

Why is it that sometimes we have to literally force ourselves to slow down to appreciate the present? Society throws so much at us all at once and it’s so easy to fall into the trap of trying to keep up. 

But the thing is, why do we feel the need to “keep up”? I mean…keep up with who? And for what?

I wanted to be this one thing. This one thing that I thought represented the woman. 

Beautiful and sexy. 

It was all over the images I saw in magazines and on television…even in cartoons. You know where the prince fell in love with the princess because she was beautiful? That’s what I wanted to be.

But that one thing that I wanted to be didn’t align with what I felt inside…and what I saw at home.
